Ruck ‘N’ Run is a motivating “boot camp” style walk/run that’s drastically challenging the definition of the average 5K and those that attempt to compete. The course is 5.56 kilometers and features 5 stations along the way where participants must complete a set of exercises at each station before progressing. A friendly competition between military branches will determine which branch finished with the fastest average time for both ruckers (with weighted rucksacks) and runners (without rucksacks). Be sure to mark the you serve(d) in during registration to include your time in this completion.

A Veteran 501(c)(3) that strives to Engage, Enable, and Empower men and women through mentorship and assistance. CB&HH is additionally focused on addressing certain unique needs that female service members encounter. CB&HH volunteers and advocates tirelessly dedicate themselves to battling the negative effects present in today’s Veteran community, such as suicide, depression, homelessness, unemployment, and poverty. Home at Last (a program of The Kitchen, Inc.):
Home at Last serves Veteran families who are homeless or would be homeless but for this organization’s assistance. During our event, canned goods provided by participants will be collected and donated to Home at Last. More information at: www.thekitcheninc.org/home-at-last.html

A fire pit brings people together. Gather with us around the fire pit and camp out with us after Friday registration.Camping is free. Bring your camp out food too.
7:30am. We will gather around the fire pit and stage. Republic High School JROTC will present the Colors and sing the National Anthem. We will then honor the fallen with Taps, and end the opening ceremony in prayer.
Runners start time is 8:00am and Ruckers start time is 8:15am.
The route is 5.56 kilometer in length and has 5 different exercise stations along the way. Ruckers are encouraged to complete them with their ruck pack, if safety allows.
1. Push ups
2. Jumping Jacks
3. Mountain Climbers
4. Body Weight Squats
There are 2 options to choose from; 10 reps OR 25 reps of the station exercises. To be eligible for a placement medal, you are required to complete 25 reps at each station. If you’re a Rucker, your rucksack must be 45lbs for men or 35lbs for women.
Once each participant finishes the event, they are encouraged to cheer on others (from the sidelines) of the finish line. Please stay clear of the actual finish line/lane. Please take canned goods to the designated donation area.
Announcements will be made to assemble at the stage. Finisher’s medal for all participants. Placement medals will be presented to those that finish 1st, 2nd, & 3rd (fastest time) within specific categories (e.g. male/female, rucker/runner, etc). To be eligible for a placement medal, you are required to complete 25 reps at each station. If you’re a Rucker, your rucksack must be 45lbs for men or 35lbs for women. To be eligible for a team plague, you must run as a team of 4 or more in the same category. Doorprizes will be drawn based on bib numbers.
