Why: Route Recon is your opportunity to:

  1. Train- Prepare yourself mentally and physically for the 5th Annual Ruck ‘N’ Run.

  2. Educate- Learn what we do! Ask questions, get answers.

  3. Invite- Tell your friends, co-workers, neighbors what Ruck ‘N’ Run is all about.

What: Free training for the 5th Annual Ruck ‘N’ Run event. Unlike other monthly events, this is not team-paced. Bring your own timing device.

When: October 5, 2019 | Showtime: 7:30 am. Step off: 8:00 am.

Parking is in the church parking lot. Meet at the starting line, which is at the dead end on Meadowview Lane. This is also the finish line.

This is a free event but registration is required. This helps us track who is attending.

Please consider donating. Donations will go towards the Ruck 'N' Run "In Their Honor" fund to help families of Service Members that pass away. We'll also have t-shirts available for purchase, which will also help with the "In Their Honor" fund.

Overall Distance: 5.56K (3.46 miles) or 7.62K,(4.75 miles. )

Ruck weight: Please note, your ruck weight is your preference, choose what feels more comfortable. As a reminder, if you are competing as a Rucker in the 5th Annual Ruck ‘N’ Run, your rucksack, backpack, and/or weighted vest must be 45lbs for men or 35lbs for women. Runners do not wear a ruck. Route Recon is for training only.

Exercise Stations Along the Route:

There are three options to choose from; zero reps, 10 reps, or 25 reps of the station exercises. Ruckers can choose to remove their ruck at the stations.

5.56K Route with 5 Stations:
1. Push Ups
2. Jumping Jacks
3. Mountain Climbers (4 count)
4. Body Weight Squats
5. Burpees (6 count)

7.62K Route with 7 Stations:
1. Push Ups
2. Jumping Jacks
3. Mountain Climbers (4 count)
4. Plyo (“clapping”) Push Ups
5. Walkout Push Ups
6. Body Weight Squats
7. Burpees (6 count)

Fitness level: All levels

What to bring: Must bring your own rucksack ,backpack, or weighted vest, weight, nourishment, hydration, motivation, and a positive, good attitude. Teamwork!

Children: Kid friendly

Pets: Only official/certified Service Dogs are welcome at this event.

If you bring your Service Dog, please make sure your dog is well-behaved and safe around strangers. Bring water and nourishment for your dog. Be mindful, respectful of any waste your dog may leave. In other words, clean up after your dog please. Must be on leash.

Venue: Please be sure to respect and follow all rules, policies and regulations of the venues or areas we ruck and/or pass through.

Safety: You’re encouraged to bring your own first aid kit. There is no designated medical personnel. Communication is by cell phone and/or handheld radio. Ruck 417, club participants, and Ruck ‘N’ Run are not liable to any injuries, illnesses, and/or causes of death. There is no lifeguard on duty, meaning, each participant is responsible for their own well-being. In the event of a medical issue, we will do our best to assist with seeking professional help. This is not a closed course. Be mindful of traffic and the general public.

Media Release: We take group photos and videos of our events. If you do not wish to be in any media format, please let us know prior to the event.
